Suitable for
Managers who liaise with project managers, and team members who would like to understand the basic concepts of project management and planning. Managers of project managers will also find the course valuable in helping to identify 'the right questions to ask' to establish how well projects are being managed.
Summary
This course offers a perspective on project management that will enable delegates to understand the key processes in managing change through projects. It will enable them to establish that the necessary documentation and plans are in place for any project with which they become involved.

- Projects and their management
- Scope management and planning
- Project control and closure
- Team working and leadership.
Objectives
At the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- Identify projects and their key characteristics
- Explain the importance and content of the project brief
- Understand the key breakdown structures
- Recognize the benefit of project networks, critical path analysis, and their relation to Gantt charts
- Understand the methods for closing a project
- Recognize the importance of team working.
